Cancellations made within 72 hours of your confirmed arrival date, regardless of the reason, will incur a penalty equal to the room and tax for the duration of the stay.
Any change-of-dates request (including shortening a reservation) must be made 72 hours prior to your confirmed arrival and is subject to availability and minimum stay restrictions.
For Non-refundable rates, cancellations made after confirmation will incur a penalty equal the room and tax for the duration of the stay. (A 24-hour cooling off period applies, whereby there is no charge should you wish to cancel within 24 hours after booking, unless the booking is 3 days or less to the arrival day).
For group room blocks of four rooms or more, please refer to the group contract for the applicable cancellation policy.
Payment
Three days prior to your arrival, on the credit card you provided at the time of booking, full payment for your room(s) plus tax will be charged, for the duration of your stay. If you need to make any changes to your method of payment please notify the hotel (+1-202-990-3444 / nvroom@tbchotels.com)
Non-refundable rates, full payment is due within 24 hours of booking.
Arrival + Departure
Check-in time is from 4:00PM, however should the room be available and ready for your arrival, we are happy to accommodate an earlier check-in time. LATE ARRIVAL: If you plan to arrive after 9:00PM, please ensure you have connected with a guesthouse host and received your keyless entry information.
All key information will be communicated via email. The lock system for the front door of the house and your guestroom door will operate on a PIN system. That PIN will be sent to you prior to your arrival. Please check your email and text messages for this PIN.
On the day of your departure, we ask that you vacate your room by 12:00PM. Should you need to stay a little longer, please connect with one of our guesthouse team members for availability.
Pets and Service Animals
Dogs are permitted to stay at The Poppy Georgetown. We look forward to offering you a memorable stay with your furry friend and to ensure the comfort and enjoyment for all guests, we do ask that you adhere to the following protocols:
Dogs must be under 50lbs and no more than 2 dogs per room.
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times when in the public areas and gardens of the guesthouse.
We ask that during food service, that dogs are not brought into the parlor.
Pet Fee is $40. There is no pet fee for service animals.
Occupancy
Best available rates are available when booking direct online. Accommodation rates are per room per night, based on 2-persons sharing a room. Smoking
The Poppy Georgetown is 100% Non-Smoking. There is no smoking within the property and grounds, including the courtyard, gardens and patio. A leisurely stroll in the direction of Rose Park might be an idea should you wish to smoke.
Age
Everyone is welcome, no matter your age. However, we do ask that at least one guest in your party who checks-in into The Poppy Georgetown is 21 years or older.
Quiet Hours
Both inside and outside, we ask you keep the noise to a minimum for the comfort of all guests. We want every guest to have a peaceful and enjoyable stay, therefore noise complaints are taken seriously.
Quiet Hours Sunday-Thursday are from 9:00PM to 8:00AM + Friday-Saturday are from 10:00PM to 8:00AM• Gardens are open on weekdays from 8:00AM - 9:00PM and on Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00AM - 10:00PM.
Safety and Security
For your safety and security, The Poppy Georgetown is equipped with security cameras. Located in public areas only both inside and outside and in operation 24/7.
Damages
All tenants will be held 100% responsible for any damages to the rooms or property.
Parking
There is street parking available on the street within the neighborhood. It is metered parking and limited to 2-hours. Park and pay using the ParkMobile App. Download the App
While street parking with ParkMobile might be easy for your arrival and luggage transfer, you may want to consider an alternative if you prefer not to manage the meters.
The Poppy Georgetown Guesthouse and Gardens offers a parking option for medium size cars, located just one block east (1 minute walk).
